Why Is Media Studies So Preoccupied With Audience?
All Media is aimed at a certain audience.
Without an Audience it cannot be sold.
Generating a reaction from the audience to different Media Products.
Target Audience:
The specific group that the producer aims to captivate with their product. Generally, the target audience very specific.
Primary Audience:

Targeting: When the Producer aims for a certain type of Audience.
Attracting: How the Producer makes the media appeal to the target audience.
Reaching: "Grabbing the audience".
Addressing: Who,What and How the Producer is trying to talk to.
Constructing: When the Producer creates an audience to go with their Media Product.

Target Audience: Older Male audience (dominant ideology that men are the leaders).
Serious and Depressing tone showing it as more adult centred game.
Post-Apocalyptic Genre: Typically interests Male rather than Female.
Secondary Audience: Female because the cover contradicts with the typical Male targeted Video-Game cover as a young female is shown as another character on the cover.

Psychographics:
The classification of people according to attitudes, aspirations and other psychological criteria.

Reformers: People who want social change.
Explorers: adventurous people who like taking risks.
Mainstreamers: People who follow the crowd.
Strugglers: People who find it hard to achieve (often connected with poverty).
