Exam Preparation


Things to remember:

  • Read and answer the question in detail and make sure you show an understanding of what has been asked and write about everything it tells you to explain.
  • Correct Terminology.
  • Underline/Highlight the important keywords in questions.
  • Arrange and structure your answer into paragraphs.
  • Include Introduction at the start and a Conclusion at the end.
  • Point, Evidence, Argument.
  • Introducing is presenting your point and you can conclude your point at the beginning.
  • Define key terms during your introduction. E.g: Media Language, Genre, Audience, Ideology.
  • Include Argument in our introduction and create a definite point of view.
  • Show Context in your Introduction. (The intention/general background of the Media Product, E.g: Brief historical context).
  • Organise your paragraphs into different points made about Genre, Audience, Ideology. Example will be gathered from the Advert.
