Theorist of identity: 
Gauntlet believes that despite many negative perceptions of the media, audiences are capable of constructing their own identities through what they see on television. Additionally, he writes there are now many more representations of gender than the traditional 'Gender Binary'.

 Stereotype of Men:

  • Men provide for Family.
  • Men have more Power physically and mentally.
  • Men can't show emotions.
  • Men are obsessed with sex.

Stereotype of Women:

  • Woman stay at home to clean.
  • Are weaker.
  • Are present for sexual purposes.
  • Women can show emotions.
  • Subservient.
